Parent Expectations

Parents are expected to meet once per trimester to review their child’s progress. Follow up notes will be sent home after each session including homework to expand and generalize the concepts addressed. It is expected that parents take the time to both read these notes and implement some of the strategies and suggestions.

Parents must wait within the building during first 4 weeks of sessions to insure student acclimation. Beyond the initial four weeks, parents are free to drop off and pick up their student. A seating area and WiFi are available for waiting parents.

We follow the policies and procedures as outlined in the Parkwood Day School Parent Handbook and Discipline Policy.

A few highlights:

Your child must be signed in and out to keep record of attendance and who dropped off/picked up your child
Your child needs to be here on time! Sessions begin on time. Late arrival interrupts the other students and can lead to difficult transitions. Thus, any students more than 15 minutes late will not be allowed to attend that session.

Program withdrawal requires a 30 day paid written notice.

Although it is not our desire to dismiss students from the program, if student behavior endangers self or others on 3 or more occasions or the student needs exceed that of the peers (within group settings), students may be dismissed from the program.

Make up days

Missed days due to student absence will not be reimbursed or made up.

Missed days due to staff absence will be made up.

A late fee of $20.00 will be added if payment is not received within 24 hours, as agreed per your enrollment form.
